Social Studies

When homeschooling you sometimes have to do different levels of subjects with your children. I have three one in Kindergarten one in grade four and one in grade six. With social studies right now they are doing different units. Leah in grade six is learning about other cultures around the world and how to be a good global citizen. Samuel is leaning about the first Nation people. Lilly is just learning what they learn mixed in with different ideas. I do like the freedom to combine or separate what my kids are learning either with each other or on their own. I know it will get a little more difficult as they get older, but for now, it is nice and simple. One picture is of Lilly learning the difference of needs and wants and the other two are of a unit on the Inuit that Samuel is learning. He did a seasonal food cycle as well as sculpted some traditional Kayaks.
